After Hyundai quoted me £35 for a CV joint boot I went to a local motor factors. He had a range of various sizes of generic boot, I bought a suitable one for £3  :y :y

None on the current regs AFAIK. Sure the rears aren't covered by the MOT yet :-\ :-\

Don't split gaiters fall under the new 2012 MOT regs, though? I presumed that'd what Tony was referring to.

"Loebro" Shaft boot kit, 90512953 £61.64 + VAT
"Siginaw " Shaft boot kit, 26055829 £68.49 + VAT

Granted thats still steep but you do get both inner & outer boots plus all the clips and grease.

Also i beleive the bolts for the outer shaft need to be replaced as well

Cheers
Andy

Good result. If you hadnt got sorted I was going to offer to take the gaiters off a pair of driveshafts I have in the boot of my breaker. :y
In fact I might take them off anyway in case I ever need them myself - if I get time before scrapman comes in the morning.
