My Boss's Xbox died recently, the ring of death, and that nice Mr Gates offered to fix it for him. He brought it in today, and we boxed it up and put it on the shelf.
I had just finished doing a main board replacement on a HP DV2000 laptop, fitted the HD etc, and powered it up to make sure it was still working. Win XP loaded up ok, and I was just relaxing when up came a message about how Windows had detected a new Xbox 360 and was going to add it to some group or other. How did it know there was an Xbox in the room ?. I hadn't fitted the wireless card yet :o :o :o Spooky :o :o :o

Ah, I get it, mind you it must have a long range, we are in the middle of an industrial estate with at scrapyard on one side and factories on the other 2 sides. Perhaps someone sneaked one into work.
