Post by: millwall on 31 October 2011, 21:04:44
going to do mine tomorrow  the bolts have had plenty of plus gas  but is it better to do it cold or run the engine to get some heat on the bolts

job done took all of 30 mins  no dramas all bolts came off easy  thanks to plus gas ;D  very easy engine to work on lots of room   and the end result no more tapping sounds and blow when first started from cold :)

I have a theory that it may be possible or even easier to remove the manifolds from underneath the car if up on a ramp.  A theory I intend to put to test one day soon.  When the cats were off last I did manage to get my hands to all the nuts quite easily although it was a case of feeling rather than having eyes on at the same time.

I have some 2.6 manifolds here willing themselves to be put on the car  ::)
