Automatic 2.2i - Difficult to describe but starting to have problems whilst pulling away from a stationary start where it feels as though the transmission doesn't engage for a split second before it catches. Also when stopped with the brake depressed it sometimes feels as though the drive wants to engage.
Any ideas?

Check the condition and level of the transmission fluid (with the engine running). It's also worth getting the codes read from the engine and gearbox. Often the cam sensor fails on the 4 pots, which also causes the gearbox to misbehave. Does it also take a little longer to start the engine?

Thanks will start with checking the level and possibly change the transmission fluid as the car has just reached 76000 miles. Intermitent problems with start however have put this down to problems with water ingress in to the spark plug wells which I have hopefully remedied.

Taking a little more cranking to start is also a symptom of the cam sensor failure. ;)
No harm in changing the ATF anyway. At that mileage it will be worthwhile anyway, IMHO.

Definately sounds like the Cam Sensor is on it's way out to me. :y

Thanks to both, will start with these areas and see where it takes me.
Am I best to have the codes re-set after changing the cam sensor or any sensor for that matter?

Would be an idea to get them read first.
