I rang my local dealer yesterday and they told me that according to their "book" I need a 85Ah battery for my 3.2. Obviously it won't fit so what the hell are they talking about? The price for that would be £110 + VAT!!!
Then they rang back and said they have a 65Ah battery that will fit in my car for around £80 incl. VAT.
Currently I have a 66Ah battery in and not 65Ah.

Also some of your prices are much lower than the prices at my local dealer. What's that about?

Which one should I get then?

Thanks!

65Ah is what you need.

Prices quoted here are because people have joined ABS and got a Trade Club card to get parts at Trade Club prices - http://www.autobahnstormers.org/

I just went and bought it at the local garage. I took the 65Ah one for £78 incl. vat, apparently with 10% discount... I couldn't wait any longer as I nearly got stuck at work due to flat battery..

Have you a local motor factors? On my old 1.8T I had a dead battery and my local factors were half the price of Halfords for an equivalent spec, named brand.
