Title: Which LPG reducer repair kit?
Post by: BigCat on 09 November 2011, 18:49:55
Hi everyone,

My LPG installer has diagnosed a "faulty" diaphragm on the reducer. It's an OMVL Dream kit.

I've found this http://www.lpg-kits.com/injection.htm (http://www.lpg-kits.com/injection.htm) on-line, they list three different models of actual reducer. Does anyone know if the diaphragm kit is the same across the lot, or do I need to specify the model as well?

Dominic

No idea, but guess each model would use a different diaphram...

That's what I thought, but other sites also list only one kit :-\

Guess you'll have to call them up then to confirm  :-\

I would if they had a phone number. Actually as their e-mail links to a blank page, I think I'll give them a miss.

Does anyone have any ideas for a reputable supplier?

FES Autogas in Wales (I think) and Tinley Tech are both OMVL stockists IIRC :-\

I've worked out I don't have an R90E type reducer which seems to be the type for which everyone is supplying spares. Mine looks similar to this:

That explains why my installer said it would take about three weeks to get a replacement diaphragm. I though about just buying a replacement reducer for £109 + postage from Ireland (see here:http://www.ebay.ie/itm/LPG-Vapouriser-Reducer-high-power-OMVL-autogas-GPL-/290455915059?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43a0858a33 (http://www.ebay.ie/itm/LPG-Vapouriser-Reducer-high-power-OMVL-autogas-GPL-/290455915059?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43a0858a33))

Does anyone have information about this model compared to the R90E? I have 3.2 V6.
