Title: write offs
Post by: ajn on 14 November 2011, 11:58:12
My car has been writen off (dent in the driver side rear door on the bottom can be pushed out and waxed and a 4in dent in the rear driver side wheel arch) My question is can I px it as it is, also a guy has offered to buy it can I sell it with no problems comming back to me. I used the car for a few years as a taxi but soon the 10 years taxi life will  end and  it will be to old. cheers ajn

If its just a Cat D then you can p/x and sell it. If its a Cat C then dealers probably wont touch. Again you can sell it so long as the buyer is made aware its a write off :y

They can't not know. The V5 gets a note in the specials box saying what has happened to the car :-\

In my case "substantial repair to the OSR quarter", roughly translated to 'new wing, bumper and tailgate' ::)
