I'm in the same boat at the minute. There are a couple for sale within the forum, though the sellers haven't been around over the weekend. That's providing you intend keeping the original equipment fitted? Or are you thinking about something aftermarket? Any decision I make will probably have to wait until after Christmas :-[

probably just a straight swap i am hoping
do u know how much they are selling for
cheers

I think the two on here are £60 and £80, though you can also buy a fully refurbished unit for £185, which I believe also includes a warranty.

really good to know
thanks
i would try to fix it myself but i have no idea what i am doing

Mine is missing the CD altogether for some strange reason. It would seem that the CD can give problems, but if you intend replacing it I am informed it must come from a similar unit, and is not too difficult. If you think it needs repaired, then I'm sure someone with more expertise in this field will be along to help. Might be worth dropping DaveDND a line to ask his advice :y

Spares for the changer are virtually non existant as Philips ceased trading nearly 10 years ago !!
Grab these whillst we still have them, as once gone, we are unlikely to see any more
