was just wondering if anyone can help me again lol

my cr 2006 cd player wont work when u put magazine in it says check magazine

anyone know how to fix this

havent really noticed as i tend either to pull it out and try again or just switch to radio

should i check would that make a iffeence

sitting looking at it now and it has changedback to check magazine about 2 mins ago

and has stayed on that since

Mine took ages to check the mag after I had loaded it for the first time after buying the car. I took it back out and put a lens cleaning disk in and let it do its job. After it had finished, about 10 secs, I put the first disk back in and it worked ok after that.
Have you tried to clean the laser lens? if not, give it a go..... ;)

The fact its not going to CHECK 3 leads me to suspect that its NOT a laser problem, but a mechanism problem.

Sometimes 1 step at a time, as when in headless chicken mode, not all members follow a long sequence of instructions  :-X

Different fault ;)

I cannot recommend laser cleaning with those silly cleaning disks until we know, beyond any doubt, that its the laser thats shafted. 99.9% of the time, those stupid disks will do far more damage than good. And I, personally, do not want to suggest something that will cause damage to someone else's property ;)

Unless the mag shows signs of damage, I suspect its the CDC3 mech thats faulty. Sorry.
