Hi, been thinking about LPG'ing my miggy since I got it about a month ago, and found someone 5 miles away from me selling a complete 2nd hand kit for £150 which is currently fitted to a 3.0 omega elite, same as mine.
Its only a single point but for the money do you think it would be worth it, Would be fitting it myself with help from my dad.
I'm quite keen on the idea but a bit sceptical about buying 2nd hand lpg stuff. Its still fitted to the car so may see if I can blag a drive in it.
Cheers Steve

nope.. lpg is ok but a second hand single point lpg kit definitely not adviced.. :-\
-
Agreed. Single point kit on a V6 won't be up to the job, IMHO.

A waste of money IMHO. Unless you only want the tank from it ::)
-
Well, I think that is a definite no then.
Awesome can save my money and go drinking and karting in newquay next weekend instead :)
Cheers guys :y

That's not to say it's not worth LPG'ing it, but fit a sequential gas injection setup. ;)

LPG ing a car that is 10 years old
not worth it

Depends on the condition of the car and the mileage your likely to do really, coupled with the cost of fitting. If DIY'd, then probably worth doing! Personal preference though ::)

How so? If DIY fitted it normally pays for itself within 10k miles... I do did 25k/year until recently and converted both my Omegas for the reduced running costs. My saloon did 55k on LPG in my ownership (saving me around £5k :o) and was still going strong when I sold it. My "new" estate has already done over 10k since converting :y
If the car is in reasonable condition and runs well then it can be worth it, as long as you intend to keep it long enough to reap the benefits ;)

Pouring petrol into a V6 Omega @ £1.35 a litre?
Mug's game. ;)

Best of buying a car that is already LPGd

Best of buying a car that is already LPGd
Not from my experiences of converted cars... Rarely done to my standards ;)
