Hi, just got my omega last week and have fallen in love with it, only problem is the stereo, its a ccr 2006 and its knackered! Tape player and CD both not working.
Bought a Pioneer headunit with all the fittings and fixtures. I pluged it all in and it powers up like it should but have no sound at all!
I have went through previous posts and noticed something about BOSE not able to take aftermarket headunits. I put the CCR back in and got sound no problem.
Any help would be great
Cheers :y

Could i get away with replacing just the speakers or do i have to do the whole lot (Speakers, Amp, Wiring)
Cheers

do i have to do the whole lot
yup :y
-
i'm guessing that it's not a five minute job then :-\
Any problems other than replacing the Speakers Amp and Wiring that you know about?
Cheers Mate :y

no not a 5min job >:(
i know the speakers have to come out as they are only 2ohm
on a bose system the amp powers the speakers, amp is under rear parcel shelf so wiring mods there
imo i would look for a replacement 2006 save alot of hassle and the bose sound isnt that bad :y

There is a radio that can work with the bose soundprocesor.
Pioneer avic HD3
Gr Jack

Pioneer avic HD3
more info please, i wouldnt have thought that the pioneer would have been able to talk to bose :-\

i wouldnt have thought that the pioneer would have been able to talk to bose
No, you are correct, it doesn`t -
It overdrives the BOSE amp and will burn it out - voltage levels from the Pioneer are too high for correct BOSE operation.

Here is a fellow omega rider that has this head unit now for over one year in his Omega and has not had a problem yet.
