I have a 2002 model 3.2 V6 Executive Omega and I want to know if my car has brake pad sensors because I have never seen a warning come up yet since I've had this car for quite some time now.
Maybe some wire is not connected or a fuse is blown, can I get help on where these sensors are and what should I do to get them working ?

on facelift cars the brake wear sensor is nearside front wheel (hmm could be opposite on yours)
routed up behind strut to a plug/connector on the inner wheelarch, sounds like someone has shorted the wires together or the cable has been damaged and shorting, so you will never get a brake warning up :y

Your car does have brake pad warning sensors fitted,
but weather you have 1 or 2 depends on when it was built, as some have 1 and some have 2 sensors.

To clarify, only later facelifts have 1 sensor, early ones had two.
Change over was around mid/late 2001 :y

my fathers 3.2 elite on a 52 plate has 2 sensors so depends on when it was built.

Seems like a lottery. My 52 plate 3.2 MV6 has one.
Well, actually, it doesn't have any any more. :-[

ok so Im guessing mine has one. But I cant seem to make out which wire it is or where the sensor is ?
Do they need to be changed everytime the brake pads are replaced ?
My brake pads arent from the original dealers so I think the garage I got them changed from didnt know about the sensors ? :-\

The sensors plug-in in the wheel arch, the plug & socket lives in the same clip as the ABS sensor. :y

have a look at this picture :y the brake sensor is the white clip thing you can see on the caliper follow the cable back to the connector :y
