Well now very impressed, after a full week of driving like Miss Daisy to and from work my average MPG in my Mig 2.2dti is amazing.
Can't wait to see what it will be like one my tuning company get their hands on it and increase the bhp to 150bhp they have said I should get another 10% fuel savings as well.

I've seen a range of 710 miles on mine once! If the motorway is flowing and you can keep a constant speed they put in some great MPG figures.
Trouble is, it's boring!!! ;D

They're very good on fuel for such a large car :) :)
BBC R2 :o I'll never go down that route ;D
-
I do find economy runs boring, however me being tight, I actually love the end result and find its worth the dull journey for the savings. 52 MPG is brilliant too!

Once saw my old TD have a range of 700m, and it had already done about 120m since fill up :D
Then I got bored ::)

Impressive figures........but how accurate is an Omega trip computer?

On a chipped 2.5TD, overreads by around 15% IME

Found the trip computer very accurate.
Have done a full reset once, then filled up
Ran the car around for a week and done another full fill up, calculated the ammount put in against the actual miles travelled and the average trip computer was only out by 0.2mpg towards my calculations.
YES RADIO 2 is the only proper station to listen too at 00.30hrs better than listening to all those other stations that like to play weird BOOM BOOM music in the small hours for the CHAV nation. You can't beat a bit of Janice Long ;-)

So the 30/31 MPG I get on a long run in my MV6 is probably closer to 26/27 in reality.... :(

No, petrol MIDs are bang on (within 1mpg). Diesel MIDs are close (couple of mpg), until you chip the buggers, then they are well out.

I was over the moon with 33.1mpg on the motorway.
But then I got bored with doing 65/70, Soon dropped after that.

think the worst thing about driving economically is forgeting you was in economy mode roaring off then checking the mpg and thinking that was a waste of time on a plus note it is good when your ploding along you see the cars speeding past in the fast lane and then you catch them up 10 mins later you get a little smile come across your face ;D ;D :y

03 3.2 auto 68,000 (sorted by Daz)
What I would call all round usual everyday driving. Go to work 25 miles 15 of which are DC 5 in the morning so do tend to push on, 5 to 10 min in traffic going home in the evening, up and down to the shop several times a week (idle or what 5 min walk 1 min drive) and general taxi service for er indoors and the kids. 22.7 MPG (measured over a week) with the computer or me being less than 1 mpg out.
Parents live in Norfolk so A1/A47 most of the way. Limit and beyond 27.4 ;)
