Title: Time to pass her on.
Post by: REvil71 on 11 March 2008, 15:07:57
Hi , I have a 99 V reg Omega 2.5v6 Elite that has to go unfortunately.
She is in burgandy/red, runs on petrol, is an auto and still runs lovely but apart from the normal rocker leak she seems to have a problem at the manifold. I have been told it could cost anything from £200 upwards just to find whats up with it. It could be a manifold gasket but I haven't the resources at the moment also I drive a company van so don't really need it anymore so it is the time for someone else to put the time in and get a hell of a car. This car has everything inside and everything works. Cream leather with working heated seats. For a full spec or pics please reply tome and I will sort it out. I plan for it to go on ebay on friday but thought since this forum has helped me out before with all the top hints.tips I would try here first.

Is it a saloon or an estate?

If it's an Estate I'll have it off you... or even if it's a saloon, for the right price...

Now then, now then ... off topic challenge comes to mind .... If I "offered" the "project" of you converting my 3.2 to LPG ... what would be your "right price" ???

I don't have the knowledge, tools or skills .. and I've seen a couple of conversions at places I've asked for quotes that don't fill me with confidence...... You've done the job neatly and successfully.. so if you are interested ???  ... :) (I'm serious about this and I have a price in mind that would see you adequatly recompensed for your work if my research is any good)

The rear end kit is about £200 and the front end about £480, so that's £680 with all the bells and whistles. :)

We should be able to get it sorted over a weekend, but I'm probably not free for several weekends, what with the new project, and a potential V6 Head rebuild for a member over easter weekend  :-/

We have amicably agreed not to go ahead with this transaction - so it's still available.
