Hi, where is the witch located as mine has started flashing on the dash. Will have a look later when I get home but if anyone can tell me where it is I can maybe get it done on work time and save my weekend time.

Check brake fluid level

Reply, will do but flushed and refilled 2 weeks ago, still, never know. Light seems to come on and off depending on bumps in the road, but will go and check fluid level.

Had the same problem once. Turned out to be the instrument panel who had a loose connection to the connectors behind it. Bent the connectors abit with a screwdriver and all was well. Might be worth checking.

Fluid level is fine, would you not get a display warning if fluid was.low or was a faulty sensor for the level. May try disconnecting the plug

the handbrake warning switch is in the handbrake itself, not sure whether you access this just by prising out handbrake gator or requires removal of suurounding gubbings , sounds like you have a loose connection on the switch or the switch itself has come loose and making contact when shook i.e going over bumps :y

Cheers, I thought it was on the lever itself, just not had time to look, what with shopping for Christmas and all.
Cheers for the ideas everyone

Good call. Unplug the connector on the brake reservoir and you can eliminate that from your investigations.
Could be that the float in the brake reservoir has sprung a leak and filled with fluid.
