Phoned my mate when i last posted about getting my Mig tuned & he said why don't you give my mate a call at Ashbourne & see if he could help. So thought id'e have a drive over to see if he could do owt.
He had a look & said yep should be able to do sumat (i didn't mention id'e been some where before).
He plugged his laptop in & hey presto, he re-mapped my Mig.
She has lot more pull in the mid range than before & he only charged me £250.00 cash ;)
So you can win all the time :y :y :y :y :y :y

Be interesting to see what the Torque and BHP figures are now compared to standard. :y

There's a rolling road just around the corner from & he said he'll charge me a tenner to put her on, so some time soon i'll post the results :y

The 2.2DTi is EDC16 iirc, so those with the basic flashers that can only do EDC15 are out of luck.... ....looking at getting an EDC16 unit at some point.

Yes the first tunner was talking about these, but it's not my forte ;D

I was gonna have a re map on my DTI some months ago, i think from memory the BHP would have gone from 118 to 160....he wanted £400 to do it, so you had a good deal there matey.

I was told by the two tuner's that the increase is to about 145bhp + 30% more torque, but it's the torque that's important.
I real terms i should use slightly less fuel, because of the extra torque, most of the time you drive around the mid range & the extra means you don't have to change gear as much.
Don't forget over time your engine loses power through use, so when i have her tested i'm not expecting 145bhp.
She feels better though & that counts for alot :y
