I have sucessfully replaced the steering idler arm, its pivot bracket the end linkages on both sides of the track rod, and steering idler am, and am now defeated by the inaccessible position of the fuel filter on my estate. It has been a nightmare to remove and the connector on the pipe to the engine has been damaged in the process. Can anyone give advice on whether the connector can be obtained and on replacing the damaged one perhaps both would be better. Hopefuily the replacement of the fuel line will not be the only remedy.
I would like to add some suggestions on the procedures already posted. How can I do this?

If you want to add to the guides then start a new thread in 'testing' and put your words and pictures in it. When the admins see that it is finished they will move it to the maintenance guide section :y

It's a pig of a job on the estate :(
Any better ideas would be good, but my estate has the filter connected by rubber fuel pipe and Jubilee Clips.
I will be interested to see if the proper ends can be replaced.

I used them ther last time I changed my fuel filter. They were from the VX dealers and cost me a couple of quid trade. They are just push in (warm the cut pipe in hot water first) stems with the connector attached. No pipe clips aree needed. :y

Hi Bionic
I visited my friendly Vaux dealer today and he could not locate a part number for the female connector to the fuel filter from fuel pipe. The parts explosion only shows complete pipes available.
He suggested I could buy a connector pipe fitted to a Corsa #9129788, a special order @£26, or get the connectors from a breaker.
Incidentally one connector is straight the other an elbow.

i got another pipe from scrapy £3, more easy to take the hole pipe off scrap one with the filter and do on ground. the other joint is in the middel drivers side just cut past it. take tank cover off and remove pipe then under the tank between the tank top and underside of the boot there is a clip pull pipe off it and the the rest just room to pull pipe out, rest is just clips. about 10min job to get off scrapy.
