this needs replacing on my car,i have one is anybody up to changing it for me,as i dont have a clue.
-
ok which one will it be which is bank 2,looking at engine.i can c the 2 sensors 1 in front of cat and 1 behind
-
It will be the passenger side, in front (engine side) of the cat.
They can be troublesome to remove. Probably worth taking it to an exhaust place or small garage where they have a gas torch and a proper lambda sensor wrench so they can get it nice and hot and see if it'll come out.

I had same problem with a lazy lamba, splash of plusgas did it for me, one grunt with a spanner and it was off.
Access was tight but can easily be reached, once cracked can almost turn it by hand. Make sure when you re-fit it you keep the loom away from the exhaust.
-
thanks for replys.will try plus gas if not down to kwic slow fit

They either come out easily or are impossible to remove IME.

3rd,did not come out i bashed and bashed, looks like im going down the garage.
-
its getting on my t%$s now,the precat ones sensor 1 are only thin ones 9195606 the after cat ones are thick.the one i bought of the bay is in a box with right part no. but inside was a thick one for the rear.only just found out as garage went to change it.i did look underneath the car and seen it for myself,
-
The size of the tip on the sensor can vary between equivalent parts. IIRC, the front and rear sensors are actually the same and it's only the length of the wires that varies.
Does the sensor itself have the right part number on it?
-
yes as far as i can make out it says 1.2C- or it might be L2c- and on the cable it has a white label with black letters saying AH.spoke to seller he has sold 8 of these and not one returnd.

Hmm. Gut feeling says it'll be OK, but, of course, once it's been fitted they probably won't accept it for a refund. :-\
I would point out the difference to the seller and ask if he'll accept it back if you fit is wrong. Might be worth a try?
-
he is happy to accept it back,he tells me he has pics of it before he sent it to me,so as long it has not been fitted its ok on the hunt for another one now.
