Still a bit confused about this. There seem to be at least 3 different pumps Vauxhall fitted to this car. Can I fit any of them as someone has suggested to me or do I need the correct one? Thanks in advance.

2.5 and 3.0's were all the same (so any of these).
2.6 and 3.2 had a different one as of around 2002.

Thanks. But it seems that the 2.5 has 3 types: pum386, pum699 and pum1155. How can I tell which one to fit without taking my pump out first?

Where are you getting your (incorrect) info?
Got a link to it?

Got it from a guy on ebay who has one. This is what he said:
"hi they list 3 pumps for it this is what i need to know to find you the one you need it has the item pum number on the end if you can let me know the one you need and i can check for you regards graham.
Pump mounting holes not threaded pum386
Pump mounting holes threaded pum699
Pump with 2 threaded and 4 unthreaded mounting holes pum1155"
Here is the link to the ebay item:

Very odd as even Vx only list a single version for the 2.5/3.0 right hand drive model. ;D
