Surprisingly the second dealer had a 2.6 CDX with 37k and full SH that they sold for 3500. I had seen the car as it was a single owner car but felt £3500 was too much for a CDX of that vintage.

Look at this dealer as well. Has 2 omegas at 4.5k and seems to have sold one already? I wonder whos paying that sort of prices?

Roger Budden's cars are always very much "top price" .. but are also very much "almost perfect" .. and his aftersales is excellent. My present one is a Budden .. and when purchased 4 years ago was a lot of money even then when Omegas still fetched a decent price, however I have absolutely no regrets about paying "top dollar" for what was, and has been, a superb motor.

I can give more details of his service if requested, from my personal experiences with the man.

and yes .. if I was in the market for another Omega .. he would be the FIRST place I'd look.

Even when I was looking for my first one, all those years ago, RB was absolute top money. Never got anywhere looking at one in the flesh though.

I collect my 1 owner 75,000 miles 2.2 CDX estate today full history with every/bill receipt included the owners brother in law  was the service manager at a main dealership, all they would allow him against a new Astra was £1200.00 so they advised him to sell privatley it was up for £2,000.00 with 7 months tax included I managed to get it for £1800.00 and believe me it is in mint condition so allowing for the tax,  car comes out at about £1650.00 a bargain  I think ,if you look hard enough good ones are about without paying inflated dealer prices .I always used to buy new up till 2002 but realised I was just throwing money away so research well & grab the bargains that are out there at present.
