Two cars, two different issues, both can be cured by correct aiming of headlights. One has the headlights adjusted too low. Yes, motors and levelling sensors are working. How high can you adjust them without blinding people? I know HID's are very sensitive with this...
Other one: the lever with which you can "select" on wich side of road you are driving; what are the correct positions in RHD-world? It seems, by the look sof the pattarn, that other one is set wrong AND there's also some mis-aim.
So, any good tips for DIY aiming and some ideas of the correct setup for these mentioned levers, pleas :y

as for your headlight aim park approx 25ft from a wall/garage door on a flat surface measure from floor to centre of headlight reproduce these measurements on the wall/door then adjust lights to said mark, i always forget but think its the inboard adjuster on the top of the light that does up/down and the adjuster nearest wing does left/right but its in link above,
but all this is useless if your adjusters have gone in the light itself, put your fingers in the back of the light if the lens flaps around the adjusters are goosed and you need to get the ali ones :y
oh and a little tip Please read the manual ;)

The best method for aiming headlights is to find a walla dn a flat surface.
Drive as close to the wall as possible and with the headlights on, mark the bright spot, reverse the car 4m or so away in a straight line (hence why it needs to be flat) and adjust the headlight aim so the bright spot is not 10mm lower than the marked points and in line with it.
This is effectively what the beam splitter does at the test station.

From an old markdtm post;
Ok....drive upto a wall or garage door and get nice and close.....place some short pieces of tape on the wall/door where the bright spot is on the light (the point where the beam starts to turn upwards).
Reverse the car straight back 3-4 meters and then adjust the headlight aim so that the same part of the beams are pointing at the tape marks again.
Notes:
1) You must only adjust the headlights using the hex adjuster on the front top edge of the headlights
2) Turn the adjuster slowly!
3) Lube the metal rod that sits on top of the headlight well before starting
4) The outer adjuster is the vertical adjustment
5) the inner adjuster is the horizontal adjustment
6) Idealy do it with an empty tank of fuel!
This is a rough and ready method that I have had quite a lot of succes with (its passed MOTs twice on two attempts)

Yes, I have read the fulincking manual but it just confuses me: how should the levers be at standard conditions, in a right hand traffic with left had drive car? I assume following: left light, lever up, right light lever down. Is this correct?

and it is a bit confusing with your setup lefthooker driving on the right ???

Choose the option that gives the most light nearest the kerb, ie away from on coming traffic
Eg beam pattern similsr to this;

Nothing confusing in our traffic: we have the steering on the right side, which is left, and we are driving on the right side of the road, which is right. Or how was it ;D :D
