Went to use the cold tap in my kitchen and have found that the tap doesn't turn very far, and there is a poor trickle of water :-\
The mains is ok, as the outside tap runs from the same source and still has pressure, etc.
Anyone any ideas before I get fleeced for a callout plumber? I imagine it must be the tap but I don't want to start taking it apart without knowing what I'm looking for.
Cheers

Strip the tap down and clean the build up of calcium deposits from the tap body and the valve. Reassemble using some vaseline as a lubricant. You may need new O rings.
Hope this helps, and it applies to normal contract type taps.
Edit, for some taps you can buy the inner section new.

If he doesn't, then he won't know if it's the tap....... ::)

Cheers guys for the speedy replies. I've done a temp job for now as I need to probably get new O rings as advised, and I'm heading to work now. At least the rest of the 2112s will have water while I'm away.
Thanks again :y

I know it was probably taken as read, really.. But I just had this mental image of Jonny standing in front of a fountain in his kitchen ;D ... which is absolutely the kind of thing I'd do :-[
(Reminds me of how the plumber and I drained the old gravity fed c/h system for which there was no drain valve .. went to isolate the kitchen rad and found the balancing valve wouldn't close, so ended up yanking the rad off one side complete with valve while I stood ready with 'stopper number 1' - a.k.a. my thumb.. ;D)
