Post by: SteveAvfc. on 12 December 2011, 20:18:59
Hi all having problems with the locking/Alarm on the old girl recently i have locked the car with the remote and with in about 10 mins the alarm is of and running try setting it several times but still after a while alarm goes of. Any ways tonight some thing different alarm set and as per usual she went of after a few mins how ever when i tried this time to reset it it locked but the interior light stayed on reopened it and after a while light dimmed and went out as norm so locked it again and hey up interior light came back on, waited a few mins in the hope it would go out but no stay on. What's going on guys  ???

Assuming the interior light switch is where it should be ie, normal position, sounds like you may have a dodgy door sensor switch or connection, if it was me the first thing I would do is disconnect the bonnet sensor switch, as they can be a common problem and so isolate that one, then concentrate on the door sensors and see if its leaving the interior light on, could also be the power sounder on its way out but Im not sure if that would leave your interior light on?

Chris.

Freecall666 i forgot to mention that i to have had the doors lock and unlock several times with one push on the fob. Started tonight by un clipping the bonnet sensor. Fingers crossed that's it cos it to dam cold and wet to go out and mess with it tonight. :y

I did Rob but then put it back to see what would happen but now the interior light comes on and the door locks go up and down two or three times surely they cant be affected by the bonnet sensor, BUTtttt tonight nothing after disconnection so who knows.
