If more people acted like that (and, admittedly, were built like that) then we'd have a lot less antisocial behaviour.

saw that on Sky News this morning. Good on him.

Gone are the days when a miscreant says "fair cop" and gets off voluntarily.

Who would be a guard?

Splendid - it's the only way to get some of these droogs to answer for their behaviour. 8) 8)

And if that direct action displeases some in our society, especially in the light of our new touchy-feely-inclusively oriented-liberal-couldn't give a monkey's-gutless-spineless-celebrity worshiping-social networking subscribing-reality TV watching-Hello magazine reading and Liberal Democrat/Labour/Conservative voting citizenry, then too fuppin’ bad. :-* :-* :-*

His 'build' did help there, not sure I could have done that with such ease!

Personally, I think he should have taken him outside & given him a good kicking!

Plus one.  I did a similar thing with a young lad in Paris who took the seat I gave up for a pregnant woman.  After being asked twice I picked the little miscreant up by his arms and dumped him on the floor by the door.  He then started gobbing off at me at which point he was floored again and I sat on him until the next stop where he was ejected.

The French have a breed of society called 'les sans ge^nes' who are uniquely self-centered people who would not, for example, give up their chair on a crowded train for a woman, pregnant or otherwise.  There is a similar class in the UK who are not labelled like in France, maybe we should start so we can ostricise them and treat them with the contempt that they deserve.

I work as a train ticket controler and believe me, I have big imagination about what would I do to him.... Sadly they all are protected like endangered species so I can only make him tea or coffee instead of breaking his bones.... Ah where are those good times..... :-[

Heard this today on the radio. "Bigman" did the right thing & it would be a travesty if he was prosecuted for anything. In Immingham we have a little co.op & 2 or 3 years ago i was stood at the kiosk paying for my 5 items or less & the young girl on the till was crying & saying "Go away Dad, i'm not serving you beer". It's a delicate situation. I told him to leave to be told it was none of my business. All i could see was a girl in tears who did'nt want him there so i frogmarched him out & he staggered across the carpark shouting silly threats which of couse have come to no fruition.

I did'nt strike or hurt him I just got rid. Still see & chat to the same girl most evenings when i go in for milk. Never been mentioned....best way.

Blimey as if this has made national news. The lad was such a douche I can't understand  why he wants sympathy after he swore his head off at the attendant.  Didn't deserve to be assaulted but the attendant should of got him off not a member of the public as he is the one who is been collared for assault now. Thats their job after all.  The law is a joke as it always seems to protect the criminals.

I heard his Dad on the radio yesterday & his good self today pleading the victim card. We all saw him refuse to move or show a ticket & gob off at the inspector. The rest of the fare paying trains passengers had destinations to get to. Why should they wait for this little scrote? You throw rubbish out.

He had a choice so it's a bit late to complain about kissing platforms & plead the victim card. GROW UP SON. Most of us would have done the same.

No time for fare dodgers. At the end of the day they are nothing but thieves who make the fares go up for the rest of us who do pay.  They should throw them off while its still moving to teach them a hard lesson.   :D

whilst in principle i agree with the feeling in here that the student was being a pain in the arse... I see a few problems arising from this situation A:why did`nt the guard request transport police to meet them at the next available stop? and get them to remove him from the train?(thats their job anyways) B: the "bigman" could be done for assault.... just my thoughts because many years ago my dad was a train driver and had rescue his guard because he decided to eject a fare dodger off a local train round birmingham.. the guard suffered a broken jaw and was suspended for not following procedure... i.e. call for british transport police..... my dad was a big bloke back then even he knew when to back off... :-X

Evening Gary. Proceedures are in place for good reason...in theory. They are usually too long winded to execute & made by those in offices who have never & probably never will face such a situation so what the break do they know?

Sometimes it's time to clear house, get the job done quickly & cleanly. Sorted!!! :y

BTP said the inspector had asked two men without tickets, aged about 18, to leave the train. They got off, but one returned and stabbed him in the back.

spineless little tinker  glad the inspector is ok   they will be caught with them pics  but lets hope they get more than a slap on the wrist  but i doubt it >:(

Heard this on the radio today in the truck....as i have a job. Something these cowards would'nt understand. Very brave to stab someone in the back when you know your mate's not far off but give them rough or legal justice & they cry the victim & run to Mummy! Pathetic.

"i think they should be taken out and shot infront of their families"
lol if ever there was a need for that line then i think this is it... when i actually use trains i do pay for a valid ticket and have it ready to show, i could fare dodge if i chose to as theres quite often, when i've been on the train, been no ticket inspector but like any normal person i paid for a ticket regardless

I find gut instinct is generally spot on  :-\ Although I do occassionally get surprised :y I have a much lower 'benefit of doubt' threshold than I used to :-\

I mean why do people who only drink once a year have to get paralytic at their works Christmas do? Why not have a pint on their birthday and be done with it :-\ Similarly why take coke at the end of the night (arguably why do shyte like that at all?  Another thread...). It only seems to make people aggressive and unreasonable. :'(
