Well, this evening I got my first dose of 'Grit Rash' this winter. I swear the twot moved over to the crown of the road so I got both barrels too! >:( I don't know what they're using this year but it sounded bloody horrid as it bounced along the full side of the car. I wont know what damage if any until tomorrow when it's light enough to see :-\

Contractors here have done road works here the last 2 weeks laying pipes. you would not believe the state of the tarmacing after. Half a mile of new road 2 yrs ago and now just looks like a patchwork quilt with holes everywhere. these companies should be made to pay the bill to renew the road.

can we claim the council if the paintwork on our cars is damaged due to gritters?

A gritter down your road? :o hats off to the driver then, turning around at the end of your road, unless he reversed, either way must be good...... :y :y
Joking apart, I hope the car is OK.... :y

I think someone said they did, but how would you prove it on an older car where you would expect to see a few stone chips?.... :-\ :-\ :-\

bloody hell i would be so lucky to have a gritter.... we have to use a ped gritter for our retail park because our towable one is a pile of rust after the last manager tried to service it.... i`m still arguing with head office to allow us to hire 1 or release funds so we can buy a used one off ebay.... just hope it aint as bad as last year.... we ran out of grit in 4 days and had to beg borrow and steal.... ::)
