Title: christmas traditions?

do you have anything that you must do at christmas time?
 i HAVE to watch a christmas carol-doesnt matter which version, i love them all, as close to christmas eve as possible. done this for as long as i can remember.

Daughters birthday christmas eve (20th this year) - always have ham & chips with friends and family round (and a good sup of 12yr old malt)
Record the kids opening their presents xmas day - 21 years worth this xmas  :o ::)
Family (12 ish for years now) round for dinner xmas day (i always cook) :y
Dinner at in-laws boxing day in Woverhampton  ::)
Sleep for the following 2 days  :-X ;D

boxing day is football day every year a nice escape from all the festivities

Yep - forget all about it - best thing about Christmas is time off work  ;)

We'd all be in real trouble if cooking Christmas dinner was left up to me. We'd be on Beanz on toast!

Might need to pay you a visit then, cos by the time the festive season is over I will be pretty much skint, it is becoming a very expensive Christmas one way and another.... :D :D  In part due to the uncertainties of next year...

How cheap? I just stocked up with 50 quids worth, you never know when there will be a great Beanz shortage ;D

Wake up
Wake the rest of the house up
Put 5 year old head on
Run down stairs and start opening pressys before the rest of the family  :y
Get a bollocking for the above (again)  ;D ;D
Start cracking cans open by 11 o'clock  :y
Leave swmbo and her bottle of sherry to do the christmas lunch  :y
Forget by 12 who bought me what  :-[
Sit down and scoff down too much food  ;D
Leave the washing of the potts to the kids  :y
Drink more beer  :y :y
Fall asleep pissed on the sofa while watching a crappy film 
Wake up and drink more beer  :y
End up in bed by 10pm after eating and drinking too much  ;D ;D

Boxing Day ............. Coffee ............... Paracetemol ............ Start all over again  :y :y

Been married 24 years and never had a christmas at home, one year with my parents and next year with her parents, and keeep repeating.
