Just wondering what thread size the average glow plus is?

Guessing, M8?

Is that your commercial TDi, B?

Unrelated, but, have you ever done the cambelt on that?

My friend and I are tackling one for his mothers Disco in the near future :y

300tdi engine.  Did the canbelt and followers a few weeks ago.  Straightforward job.  The haynes book of best guesses is a good help.....  :y

Yep, there is an excellent guide online... I actually quite enjoy driving the 300 TDi!

Still doesn't compare to the V8 Rangie, though..  ;D

Timing belt a doddle should take max an hour.
I used a nail to lock the injector pump :o and the hardest bit is the tensioner.
I'm running mine at the mo without the viscous fan (there a pain in the ass).
This is about the simplest engine to work on as it was designed for army life and being able to be fixed fast with limited tools in the feild :y
