recently had to sort a water leak due to the reducing temperatures which turned out to be the oil cooler plate, while in there i redone the thermostat, cambelt timing and rocker covers.
before the work the idle was a dead 500rpm with the rise for aircon, repaired a couple of breather hoses which had splits, and the egr to plenum seal.
plenum been off twice(dont ask) air pipes seem intact.
on idle in gear is 600rpm, in neutral it bounces up to 750 rpm,
do the injector seals give trouble?
once warm does the icv valve close fully or still have an influence?
breather system ok.
thanks

Which motor mate - V6 usually runs 500-550rpm without a/con on & 600-650rpm with a/con on. Try cleaning ICV with carb cleaner and relubricating with light oil (3in1)

Initial reaction is an air leak somewhere... ...though cleaning ICV is worthwhile 1st step...
