Title: Carpet fitting
Post by: Terbs on 28 December 2011, 15:10:04
Hi all...
Father Christmas has bought me a set of vx tailored mats with omega written on them. :y The drivers mat has two holes in it, and comes with two mushroom headed plastic clips with a stem and t piece on the reverse side. They obviously locate into something. Are there some fittings under the original carpet, in the floor, do I have to make a hole in the original carpet, or are some omegas different to others with mats/carpets.
Not the end of the world, but dont want them to fray around the holes. :)
I have looked on the forum....found one post, seems to suggest a floor fitting, and I don't really want to drill the floor :(
advice appreciated ;)

Santa must have got our addresses mixed up  ;D
There should be fixings in the existing carpet, both front and back. Afaik they are purely within the carpet, not in the floor ie you couldn't cut the carpet to find them underneath, if you know what I mean?
