Title: Not feeling great
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 18 March 2008, 14:41:11
Ever since the week before the cambelt party, I have been feeling really run down. I had a bad cough then.. which didn't go away and was recently made worse by "man flu" last week  :'(

Last night I spent about 10 minutes under a car, and I came out feeling totally worn out... I will give it another week or so before I do anything strenous because I'm still getting over this cold.

I detest not being able to push myself and work on cars  :'(

Moan over ;D

Actually as a medic I would have concerns if what you posted was true.  Long drawn out illnesses which dont affect the others around you can point to a weakened immune system.

I dont know how old you are or if you smoke (which would make it worse) but if you have man-flu your oxygen levels will be low which can cause strain on organs particularly the heart so....

....have an early night drink some chicken soup and if it isnt better tomorrow go see a doctor

Hi James. I started feeling dog rough on way home from Telford. Sorry ladies it wasnt man flu, that's just a cold. I still go to work coughing & spitting round the country!! Hankies are unhygienic. Best let it get out & walk. But this one breaked me over for 3 days. No food, computer, polishing, just lying in bed watching telly enjoying pressure headaches, a nose bleed, face hot, everything else freezing.
Rest up & employ a pretty little nursie to help relieve your symptoms!!!! :D

Had a similar thing last September -- tried to work thru it and ended up off sick for over a month ---- still not 100% now -- even my liver went on strike -- moral is ... take it easy, don't push it cos you will only feel worse .... now that I have cheered you up <koff> ....  ::)

Feel better soon mate :y

Get rest, sleep mostly..

eat strong food (meat, fish) + fresh fruit juices..

and cover your chest with Vix vaporub (or similiar) before sleep..

take care for your lungs ..(Vix will clean the infection inside)

if you use anthibiotics, dont forget to finish the set completely..

'Dr Nice' off the radio once defined the difference between 'flu & a cold.
If you have a cold & there was a £5- note on the front garden, you'd go outside & get it.
If you have proper 'flu & there was a £20- note on the front garden, you'd leave it there & stay in bed.  ;)  ;)  ;)  :y

The way I felt last weekend, I wouldn't have got out of bed for £500! In fact, I'm not sure I'd have made it down the stairs alone..
