Try Wynns lifter treatment along with an oil change should do the trick. If not could be a cracked manifold or worse stud gone on manifold. Tried all this on mine when i had the same problems turned out to be the stud but i decided to put up with it.

Forever helpfull Rusty, as per usual...... ::)
Where does the quantum leap from noisy lifters to a sump full of sawdust come from? And how does that lift the hopes of the original poster?
sheeeeezzz.... :-X

You have checked the oil level since getting the car? Apart from being black/dirty, no 'sawdust' in there? :y
Get some lifter treatment, read the instructions on the bottle and use accordingly and drain/change oil as recomended thereafter. :y
