Hi guys, hope you're all well.
I followed the guide to remove my bumper today. Very easy. Took about 20 mins. Here's the original guide I followed which helped a lot...

However, I just thought I'd point out a couple of things that differed on my removal if it helps anyone; maybe this guide was on a pre-F/L? I don't know but anyway:
Firstly, in the first pic I had to remove an additional T screw (one either side) located at the very bottom of the wheel arch, underneath. Inside the wheel arch I removed the screw (using spanner) that when it came off was just a plastic bolt and left was what looked like a screw sticking out.
Secondly, I got under the butt end of the car to push through centre pin and remove others as per guide. However, I only had 2 black plastic round tabs that didn't appear to be attached to anything. So simply left them.
Then undo the four big plastic screw covers on the inside plastic trim of the boot (pic below) and the bumper came off.

Again, like the inside of the wheelarch, removal of the plastic screw covers left what looked like the sharp end of the screw.
Just thought this may help :)
PS, it all fit back together easy. Only problem was the passenger side. When I went to fit back the screw shown in pic 1 the thread of the plastic (not the screw) had broken off. All very brittle as old (the amount of shite that came off was unreal). However it fit back and you have to physically pull it out to remove. Otherwise all is well! :y
Cheers.

Why is it necessary to undo anything in the boot?

Wouldn't come off without doing it. I did try.

Webby, do you mean the screws outside the bumper that you can only get at once you've opened the boot, with little plastic covers on them? :-\ The estate has them, not sure aboot the saloon coz I've never had one ::)
Thinking through your post. could be that in undoing the trim screws inside the boot, you loosened the rubber seal, in turn this fits over the top edge of the bumper, allowing the bumper to come away. :-\

Hi ya TA ;)
Yeah I undid them as per the guide (the colour coded oval covers) but the bumper felt stuck in place. so I hunted about for more screws that i may had missed. undid them (the ones inside the boot) and it came off. maybe i'd done enough but it got stuck somehow?
lol well anyhow admins may wanna lock the thread as it seems i've got a bit wrong. sorry folks just trying to help :y
