Plod would have been made up if they had been given Elites to ride around in  ;D

Early Plod Omegas had Elite on their V5 .................. but were far from the Civvy spec Elites  ;) ;)

Car was registered 31/12/99 that's what is on v5 plus omega elite v6. I should have asked how would you find out if it had a LSD fitted.

If I take off hard at a corner and keep control she will go snaking down the road. Had a skyline before an she done the same. Haven't tried to diff it yet as it's an auto (soon to be manual) but if it doesn't have one would they be hard to find

If you know what your looking for and know what an LSD feels like, I'd stop somewhere, heavy right or left lock & boot it. Driven x-plods with LSD's fitted, you can tell straight away through your arse!

I know that any rwd without LSD just dozzes on. It's just being an auto with no clutch i haven't bothered to try it.
When I get manual fitted I want it to have a LSD.
Thanks everyone for all the feedback

They come up for sale once in a while, but not that common. Fetch good money due to more demand than supply. :y

LSD was also available as a very special order on pretty much any new Omega, but your dealer had to talk very nicely to the factory for it to be fitted.

Ireland might be a different story, mind.

It is recorded on the VIN plate, so if you can find someone to "decode" it for you......

Easiest test for lsd is to park one rear wheel on a grass verg or gravel with the other rear wheel on tarmac, floor it, if the tarmac wheel is spinning then lsd, a lot easier than jacking up both rears to test.

I'm on my seventh explod now and theve all had lsd's fitted across manuals and autos.

Chris.

You need to pick the right Force's from the Reg Plate plate Woody,  :y :y, pretty much not many left now, or whats left has been stolen.
