Title: Anyone know a good plumber around Chalfont St Peter/Amersham etc?

A friend of mine has a somewhat aged combi with the flue about 6" from a bedroom window; a bedroom soon to be occupied by their newborn baby..

So having suggested he investigate if you can get an extended flue, they contacted British Gas, who promptly condemned the whole thing and quoted £3000 to replace the combi with another combi, install an extended flue and add TRVs to all radiators; that was £1500 for the combi and £1500 for the labour.

I don't suppose anyone knows a reliable, good GasSafe plumber in that sort of area, do they? And no, he's not likely to be doing the work himself - I had to go round and help him assemble flat pack furniture for the babies room, let alone letting him loose near gas, water or electric!  ;D

The company who did my boiler are called goth and Crawford who were excellent. There in pinner which isn't that far. I'll  give you there number
