Best time (IMHO) to visit Munich is October ....... it is FANTASTIC .... at other times it is just good !! :) Very lively, friendly place, loads to do :y :y :y

Yep, Munich is a pretty lively place. You'll find plenty to do.
Most of the time when I've had a good night out there I can't remember where I've been, so not going to be much help. ;D
Hofbrau house is a bit touristy but has to be done once just to experience huge breasted wenches bringing you beers in 4 pint glasses. :-*
For the more sober moments the Deutsches museum is an excellent science museum well worth a look.
In general, just wander round and see what takes your fancy, though.

However, too liberal an interpretation of that advice could get you into much trouble .... both over there and when back home !!!
:) :)

High class part of Germany. "vierzig Bier bitte, schnell schweinhund mit wurst" is all you need to remember
