Title: HIT & LEGGED IT!

Earlier today someone has collided with my car damaging the off side rear quarter panel, totally removing the petrol flap and busting the wing mirror keeping the glass intact, I mention the latter as there has to be a silver lining in most things.


Does anyone know of a body shop or person in North Staffordshire/Stoke on Trent area who does not charge the earth for repairing and repainting the same? Any help would be appreciated as running this through the insurance company would cost a small fortune in premiums next year.

Yes mate. Holdcroft in Hanley have a very good bodyshop. I used to work there and thats where i had my spoiler painted.

imo it will cost more than the insurance amount increase.. use them..

Damage to rear quarter and various other stuff - ins. will almost certainly write it off. ;)
Petrol flap and mirror may be available from someone on OOF (dont have any myself,but someone might) just a matter of then doing the research / legwork to get a good job at a sensible price. :y

Thanks for your comments guys.

Therefore if anyone can help with a new wing mirror assembly and petrol flap it would be appreciated.
(I have requested on here as I seem unable to register a want on the sale and wanted section)

Appreciated a lot more than the guy who hit my car and left the scene and for me to pay for the damage he caused!!

(I know I wake up the following day and feel really pi**ed)

was this done in S/Market car park or anywhere near cameras?
same happened to me in Asda couple of yrs back and I was lucky for once
Then took a delight in nailing the bitch (she still tryed to deny it)
