Can anyone confirm whether the 2.6 and 3.2 engines use the same inlet manifolds and injectors please?
TIA :y
-
Different manifold, I think injectors may be different also :-\
Intake manifold for 2.5/2.6 is 90469820
Intake manifold for 3.0/3.2 is 90469821
-
That answers that one then!! :y
-
Recall several posts from those that know that the 3.2 injectors are larger than 3.0, but not sure if 2.6 are the same as 3.2 :-\
-
Injectors are:
X25XE/X30XE:
Part no 30487344
Y26SE/Y32SE:
Part no 24406653
So that answers both ;D ;D

Seems very strange to me the the 2.6 and 3.2 use the same injectors, yet different manifolds...
Would be interesting to know exactly what the difference is between the manifolds. Am I right in thinking that the bridge and plenum are the same on both engines? :-\

Different lower dividers = different manifolds.
2.5/2.6 is 90467003
3.0/3.2 is 90467004
I`ll pass on the bridge & plenum ;D

2.6/3.2 same plenum and same inlet/injector assembly. :y
The plate that connects the inlet/injector assembly to the heads is different, as Rob has highlighted so eloquently above :y
just to add, same throttle body too :y
-
My understanding was the same as Al has said.If they have different part numbers though ? :-\
-
Well it's confused.com here I'm afraid. :-\

But thats nothing new. :P :D ;D

The cast inlet is different between 2.6 and 3.2 ;)

Oi! Listen here you... hang on, who are you? where am I? :D :P

My original 3.2 one was swapped out with a 2.6 one (apparantly), (bought from Steve at Omegaspareparts when an injector sprung a leak).
Absolutely no difference whatsoever: same loom/same injectors/same casting :-\ Side by side I couldn't see any difference between them :-\

The intake runners are slightly smaller diameter on the 2.5/2.6s.. Unless at some point they went to using a common part? Injectors are the same 2.6/3.2 but different to the 2.5/3.0, as is the fuel pressure reg.

90469820 8 49 025 MANIFOLD, INDUCTION, LOWER X25XE
90469820 8 49 025 MANIFOLD, INDUCTION, LOWER X25XE, Y26SE
(90469821) (8 49 027) MANIFOLD, INDUCTION, LOWER (NLS.- NO REPLACEMENT PART) X30XE
(90469821) (8 49 027) MANIFOLD, INDUCTION, LOWER (NLS.- NO REPLACEMENT PART) X30XE, Y32SE
2.5 and 2.6 are same, 3.0 and 3.2 are same. Not 3.0/3.2 is NLS

What does this NLS mean?

From what I am aware the 3.0L inlet divider is slightly larger than the 2.5L one. For a while it was common mod to fit the 3.0L one to the 2.5 (Veccy land). Until it was pointed out that it's a pretty much pointless. As the divider maybe bigger, but the ports above and below it aren't.
