Last 2 days has seen the local BP go from 72.9 to 73.9 to 74.9
-
Local to me is 86.
-
Bloody typical! Just as I'm about to LPG mine, the price goes up!! ::)
I bet if I pump up the tires on my bicycle, they'll make cyclists pay road tax!! >:(
-
79.9 here. Not really worth the bother anymore for me tbh. Will probably sell the bike, buy a little diesel, and then consider the Omegas future after that.
-
They're doing exactly what they did with diesels. People moved from Petrols to Diesels because, they were more economical and gave better MPG, the Government saw exactly this and thought, money earner! So now Diesel is pretty much everywhere a minimum of 5p a litre more expensive than Petrol (10p here in Ashford). Now they've seen many people are adding LPG to their cars, the price of that is slowly creeping up, it'll be a £1 a litre before you know it :y
-
Been slowly going down here 69.9 before xmas now 66.9

You're bang on with the diesel thing though Del!
Diesel costs less that petrol to produce, so should be cheaper to buy at the pumps. But they wait time everyone has bought a diesel car, and then decide it's really bad for the planet and tax it to hell and back!! >:(

If I could find a good regular supply of chip fat................. ::)

Yeah, but then you'd have to buy a Cavvy diesel or 2.5TD Mig... ::)
Actually, I've just realised I'm letting you collect an a-frame from the back of an unlocked 2.5TD tomorrow!! :o
Just remember, I know where you live matey!! :D

The Shell in Maidenhead is not the cheapest for petrol or diesel (E.G. 3p/litre dearer than Shell bourne end which is 4 miles away)but sells their lpg cheaper at 69.9p ???

Would get a very small diesel - cheap tax / insurance etc to replace the bike I think. Possibly keep the mig for occassional use at least for a while.Probably get rid before the year is out though.

Been going down around here, and should go down some more in the next couple of months as the wholesale gas price has dropped ;) ;)

New BP at North Colchester (By the stadium) in 10p/L cheaper than that :o :o ;) ;)
-
Had been going down around here - BP was 77.9p before xmas.
Note the BPs in MK have gone up a couple of pence this week as well.

I'd hazard a guess that they're creeping it up a little and will drop it again. Remember that LPG pump price should follow the Wholesale Gas Price (roughly) with a delay of a couple of months ;)

But it apparently puts 59.8 litres into my 60l tank when the tank isnt even empty. ;)
Im not often out that way tbh, although I will be tomorrow morning so will fill up there.

LPG is always under pressure this time of year due to central heating demand.
That said, been 73.9 here for ages. Not the cheapest area but relatively stable <touches wood>. ;)
-
Albs, is that a regular occurance? I've never had problems there, on the odd occasion they've had LPG ::)

forget about the winter usage , you will miss those prices when another war erupts in middle east.. and my nose tells me its very close..

Iirc Ive used it 4 times. First time (just after it opened) I was pleasantly surprised how little went in the tank, according to the pump. The next 3 times it took a hell of a lot more (according to the pump) than I thought it would. I will probably be filling up there tomorrow morning,so will see what happens then. ;)

Charging what they can get for it IMO. Shells in Reading are 5p a litre more iirc but ate right next to m4. Your Miadenhead Shell has particularly poor access to the M4, which is why I never use it.
Sounds like other drivers are doing the same perhaps, and they've dropped the price to shift it.
Filled up at my usual Malthurst Roman BP yesterday, (as they have an accumulator discount card giving an average of 5p a litre off over 10 visits) sadly I didn't bother me arse to notice the displayed price though.

around here it 69p ltr, but if goes up too much ill be buying a gas pump and then 47kg bottles as no vat on it lol

Fixed that for you ;) Be careful as last time I played with the figures it needed to pass 1.05 a litre to be cheaper from bottles.
Not forgetting that evading Road Duty is a very serious crime ;)

The Discovery runs well on the stuff ;)
-
Just gone down a penny here to 70.9
-
67.9/ltr here at Morrisons & Asda. I knew The North was good for something! ;D
-
I thought it was the other way round, going down around here, theres a few Shell Garages on my locals travel currently at 69.9, a month back they were in the mid 70's.
Chris.
-
It's been 69.9 round here since before last summer :)

yep 74.9 at my local, but less an average of 5p a litre with their loyalty card.
-
Petrol has just gone up to £1.31 round here (Leeds)
If diesel goes up much more, it will be statistically cheaper to run a small engined petrol car if you do less than 18,000 miles a year. ???
