When I switch off the ignition I get a constant beeping sound which goes away when I pull out the key. Sometimes the beep is accompanied by the "traffic master" lady. I thought it was the power sounder but people here experience 3/4 beeps when the batteries are on the way out.

No mate, the beep you are getting is there specifically to tell you that you have still got the key in the ignition. You will get another beep if you leave your lights on.
The powersounder will emit 4 beeps when it is knackered, but it's quite obvious that the sound is come from under the scuttle panel, where the powersounder is located. :y

Its good to know its not the powersounder but I dont remember it always doing that. I only noticed it a few months ago.

Is your door open when the beep comes? I thought if the door is closed and you switch off there would be no beep and that the beep only comes if you open the door whilst the keys are still in the ignition?

I think that could be it ;D
Where is the embarrassed emoticon

As twiglet pointed noted, it is not a powersounder problem so good news :y
