You can go off some people

Yep, I'm only on 10MB but that's quick enough for my use so 20MB will be a bonus. :y
-
Yup mine will be upgraded to 60 from 20 which is nice

Ha ha!! Sorry! :P
-
Me too, from 20 to 40 megabit :y

Indeed... Can't get cable here and lucky to get more than 1 Meg most of the time :'(
-
I am on 128k 3G service at the moment. However on the 18th Jan I shall be upgrading to 3.5Meg. So whilst envious of your rocket speed 100Meg will be happy enough. Can you believe you can only upgrade your service on the 18th of the month! Only in Spain.

July for me, boo.. So long to wait for 100Mb.
-
I note its cable only and not ADSL.

and knowing virgin it will all go tits up and no one will have any broadband ;D ;D

I got a very interesting email off the CEO of BT the other day (thanks to that CEO email link) he got quite shirty with the wording of my original email to customer services and I had copied him in to see if he would bite. He did and his basic argument for fibre cabling all around Aldershot Military Town and not inside was purely financial even though he claimed there was no bias against nor any obligation to fibre military addresses.
what a c0ck! >:(
I am still contemplating my response.

After working for for them for 8 years (no longer am though) that wouldn't surprise me.
At least they are getting rid of the second level department from India and bringing it back to Swansea.
Shame they didn't listen to us when we told them it was a bad idea at the time and made us redundant
-
mines going to 20mb but not until october 2013 when i put my postcode in >:( thats not that fast
-
Mine's being done in july
-
july for me :y
but i find my 10 meg now is fast enough
-
i remember when 56k dial up was the bees knees you impatient people you ;D ;D

Very nice, not possible for me as fell out with Virgin on account of all the "Extras" they kept adding the bill and the down times we where getting. Now back at BT and they told us 8 meg was as good as it was going to get. The line actually does better than that through out the day we get 10 - 10.5 and after midnight (ish) it will creep towards 11 - 12 not bad gives average download speeds of 1.2 Mb/s and uplifts of 700 - 750k.

No cable here, stuck with BT and an old exchange so 2mb is about the average here, seems to do the job ok though...... :) :)

Looking forward to my doubling.. I need to download the whole interwebs, after all!

Was just thinking about the time we had 56.6k and then we went to 512k broadband (thought that was quick), not that long ago but a world away from the above.

I notice they don't say how much discount the 100Mbit customers will be getting as they can only increase the download speed by 20Mbit, let's hope they remember to increase the upload speeds at the same time though otherwise it will be a pointless exercise in increasing the download speeds.
