Post by: Richard A on 20 March 2008, 20:09:30
An Omega estate at about 14-30 heading towards Brownhills on the A5. The traffic was moving at 50 mph but you could not see behind the estate due to smoke ie like a steam engine - loads and loads, could it of been a OOF member, err, with a problem ? massive - massive amounts of smoke/steam, could not read number plate, anyone need help ???

I was providing a windscreen steam cleaning service for the following vehicles but for some reason they all seemed to slow down and put their lights on.

Hose from coolant bridge to HBV let go, pulled into pub at the next roundabout and stripped out the plennum and inlet manifold, shortened the guilty pipe then rebuilt it and carried on.

Dear Mr Greenflag, can I have a refund on my subscription please, or at least a discount for next year?

Its Timbuks fault, he mentioned that morning how that this particular pipe had failed on his super van.

Still, we got it fixed within about 30 minutes and also spotted a split breather pipe which was fixed at the same time and brought the MPG up into the 30's!

Well hopefully the starting issues are sorted, it helps if there is a transponder in the key ::)

No transponder in the key but now sorted and programmed (I had Tech 2 with me).

Front HID leveling sensor is goosed.

Did you know the airbags had been deployed and the airbag light has been wired in parralel with the ABS light?

The tech 2 bill alone is already quite frightening.

Advice to all Forum Members....

When travelling away from home remember to take your toolbox and check that there is a Marks DTM in it, they are very useful when working on a hot slippery engine and the repair is done with lots of giggles and chuckles....without the sighs and glares if it was SWIMBO in the passenger seat.

Sorry 'Matchless' for not offering some help. Maybe a list of 'OOF' members mobile telephone numbers should be put together to cover the whole of the UK, there are so many members of 'OOF' now it must be as big as 'Green Flag'. !!!!!!!
ie if your in Stoke-on-Trent and have a problem ring --------.
Just an idea.
