I'm not sure if anybody knows how to 're-wrap' a rear blind as mine has gone a little saggy and doesn't fully go back into its recess???
-
Its spring loaded, so if its not retracting the material properly, replace the blind. 2nd hand, probably £40??
-
Take cover off motor to check if tooth wear on the cogs, if all OK re-set the tension on the spring

Mine went though a phase of doing this, I even dismantled it to see if there was a chance of winding a little more tension on ........... there wasn't. Shortly afterwards it fixed itself & has remained fixed a good number of years later.
I know that doesn't really help, but I think that continued use is the answer, or do as I & leave it up. :y :y :y

It's years since I looked inside mine, but don't remember being able to alter spring tension. :-\ :-\

You don`t. You re-set. The tension is held by a single screw at one edge of the motor body, if it`s worked loose..........................

Which is possibly why Vauxhall decided to remove the blind from the last Elites! ::) ::)

RobG, I doubt its a motor/gearbox fault, I suspect its the blind not retracting, even though the arms move the blind down ;)

That's what happened with mine, the roller couldn't keep up with the arms. ;)

Cheers chaps, thats interesting! I'm tempted to leave it up because it means the sun keeps off the leather, but its harder to see out the back window!
I'm gonna try putting it up and down a number of times and see if it fixes itself, otherwise the tools will come out again and I'll be seeking further guidance...
all the best for now! :)

.... but its harder to see out the back window! .......
How much do you need to be able to see? ::) ::) If you have the centre head rest in place there's not much window to see out of. ;) ;) Besides, you have a mirror on each door. :y :y :y

Good point Andy, I look out the rear window soo often, Its what I've always done, may take a little time to change the habit!
