Hi guys,
First off, I'm loving the new Omega, theres a dark green one I see going around where I live, anyone on here? (Burton on Trent)
Anyway a couple of questions, firstly my accelerator squeaks rather annoyingly every time I lift off, is this an easy' grease a certain bit' fix?
Secondly I notice a lot of people on here comment on the water pump and oil cooler being common things that go wrong. Having looked through the service history my car has had the cambelt and tensioners etc done but never these parts. Is this something I can get done to prevent them failing and knackering the car?
Many Thanks,
Dan.

I'm a believer in .......... 'if it aint broke - don't fix it'. IMO ;)

Water pump is not a common failure on the V6 and we generaly say it should be changed at every other cambelt change (cambelt needing doing every 40K miles or 4 years).
Oil coolers last well if the coolant is well maintained (e.g. change it every 2-4 years and keep it a 50:50 mix). :y

And use good quality anti freeze for your 50/50 mix. Vauxhall red rather than Tescos blue etc. :y

Thanks guys, so basically just look after it properly is what you're telling me :)

When was your cambelt done/serviced! :y

Cambelt was done on the last service and by the look of the log book for the first time (70,000 miles) not convinced the water pump has ever been done though.
