This morning a neighbour said to me,bet you getting rid of your gas gusler now then, fair enough i know we got two cars,in the week wife uses the pug to go to work, and when mine was on the road i would use it to take kids to school. If we went out at weekends we would only use the pug and also its used for going all around Notts/Derbys for my sons football. Now then they have an Astra,1 son also has an Astra, another son has Nissan Sunny,3rd son has Tranny van,and both daughters have a Nissan Micra each, when they go out only 1 person in each car,and she moans about my Omega!

Set fire to all their cars!
And laugh! ;)

It annoys me (what doesn't) when they bang on about emissions. I only do 3 or 4k a year, but a lower emission car may do 20/30,000 a year so who pumps out the most muck overall?
I like big cars. Guess we're easy pickings. >:(
-
I wouldn't mind but it's been off road since mid november, only got it running at last weekend...lol

I no the feeling, my neighbour moved in about 4 years ago and was banging on about his "green credentials" and moaning that occasionaly an older neighbour burns his garden rubbish. Well he does it at night and he has never bothered me with it.
Said "green" neighbour then buys his wife a suzuki vitara V6 and a year later buys himself a mitsubishi something V6.
I just ignore self richeous people like that.

I have already had a couple of comments, about my V8 Disco.
Reality is, it will probably only do 60 miles a week, whereas many cars are doing 3x this per day...
When the PM and colleagues get driven around in a 1.0 Daewoo Matiz, then I will drive one too. >:(
-
I'd happily drive a Matiz....round Skeg Banger track!!!!!!! :D
Posted on the first bend! ;D

Can't say I have ever had a problem with neighbours regarding what I am driveing, wherever I have lived. Each to their own but this 'green thing' is going ott. My daily car is one of the acdcepted best cars, so if I choose to use something else at times then this is my choice, I pay for it in fuel duty and RFL so what is the problem.
It's windy today, it's f*ckn March. Sorry but do not have a lot of time for the Greenies, when I was a lad they were worried about a new Ice age coming. Bah bl**dy humbug, when the yanks go green, or about any other big country, then so will I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here matey, i don't do many miles, i hate driving. They should put the VED on fuel & scrap the tax disc, that way everone pays for what they use. A much fairer system.

I think I'm going to get a window sticker that says "Buy shares in Exxon, I have" :y

Well how long will it last compared to their car?
Perhaps LPGing it will make them realise their little boxes are dirtier
-
When the PM gets driven around in a Daewoo Matiz - I wont !
I say ban taxis and buses from the roads they cause emmissions.
How many times have you been in a queue of traffic when either of the above "public services" pulls out causing 12 cars to slow down, change gear, trundle along, accelerate again and change gear.....?

just been reading in the mail about how many of the government ministers are still using jags and the like for transport.some of them even used them to travel 150 yards recently to attend a meeting, the government fleet is actually worse for emissions than it was a couple of years ago,if i was a cynic i might think that someone was trying to con us. >:(
