Title: 2001 Astra 1.6 problem

Picked up a 2001 'Y' plate Astra 1.6, won't start when cold, unless it's bumped or jumped, when started it's smooth as anything. There is a very very occasional misfire when you put your foot down, but I've driven it 4 times for half hour on two different days, and it done it 3 times? Guy I bought it from said, the cold start sensor has been replaced, don't know what that one is other than it's on the right hand side of the engine bay? Any ideas before it gets sent to someone else?
