Title: Four Years Of Ownership
Post by: waspy on 20 January 2012, 20:13:17
Not had to really repair or replace anything on Burt for just over four years except consumables  :)
I hate working on cars in the cold & wet, so I passed Burt over to a mate's mate (who needs some work & ££s) for repair, which included an oil leak (MDTM knows about that  ;D) leak off pipes & a knocking on the front suspension that turned out to be a front control arm.
Gaz rang me today & told me that the starter had problems too, it needs new bushes, he found out when Burt wouldn't start  :'(
So it's not true when they say "things come in threes", they come in fours  ;D ;D

He's been one of the if not the most reliable car i've had  8) 8) 8) 8) I don't think I can grumble  :) :)

Yep, still have him. I don't think i'll find another that's so comfortable, economical, safe & quite quick (for a diesel). Turns out, quite reliable too  :) :)
