Does anyone know what's the max weight for the estate boot to handle?
I plan to take some "rail sleepers"(i hope this is the expression for the wooden horizontal columns under the tracks) to drive a car on them for oil change and some easy works under my omega. Total weight of four is a bit less than 400 kg, they are 8 feet long (two feet too long I know). It's the cheapest solution compared to jack stands and similar. And a nice workout for my S/L suspension 8) Thanks, Stan

I would've thought that's ok. It's just like hving 3 fatsos in the back seats plus s full boot, then you'll be able to put a 75kg load on the towbar. You sure they weight that much though? I had some 9ft ones and they were heavy, but nowhere near 100kg each

It's 80 to 100 kg per one. Made of oak, heavy wood pieces, soaked in some anty roting toxic mixtures....Not too concerned about that, after all I smoke too.... :-X

Just like carrying four bodies. Or five if you're less... festively rotund than I.
Ask your local mobsters for advice ;) :y

In the boot of my MV6 estate with the S/L rear shocks i had 2 125kg 7ft Co2 bottles inc all my tools a pipe cutting machine 100kg of pipe on the roof full tank of fuel & i could even bounce up & down on towbar & all ok :D
But word of warning
before you do just jack the car up on 2 jacks under rear body lifting wheels off the ground & check both S/L rear shock airbags for any kind of splits!! mainly on area you calnt see when on the ground!! if theres any signs of splits i WOULD NOT load rear too much!! as i found out the hard way about a week later when both of mine started leaking & then burst!! but at £180 each quoted by vauxhall bam exspensive if u fk them & ive been looking last 3weeks for replacements & nobody has any!! :(
if there good should take about 400kgs on the rear but be carefull not to overload rear axel weight or ull get a heavy fine if you/someone has an accident ur involved in!! altho it will carry the weight is it worth your licence if you get stopped!! :'(

Max axle weights are on the sticker in the driver's door shut. Four weights shown, something to do with max train weight & towing, the two last weights are the axle weights (I think :-\) 1145 for my saloon. :y

I've had ~300Kg or so in the boot and the car didn't even break a sweat (an iron-block 7ltr V8 is heavy..), but 400 60x60 carpet tiles had it down on it's bump stops :-[
