People have said their box is smoother after doing it after less miles. It can't hurt, it's easy and doesn't cost much

Recently did mine, after having it last changed some 120k ago. :'( :'(

Didn,t realise what a BIG difference it made to the gear changes. :y..it used to hang in gears especially when going down hill and coming off the accelerator then would engage with a heavy thump.Since dropping both sumps/replacing the filter screen and getting around 6.5 ltrs of nice new dex3 in, the gears are smoother than I can almost ever remember. :) :) :)

Will give it another few thousand more miles ...and let the weather impove ::)..then will do it again so hopefully I will end up with atleast 75% of the total content being new ;D.

IMHO its a well worth while job and your gearbox will be all the better for it :y
