126k, budget for a new rad and a new gearbox soon.

Although I quite like the TD engine, don't get hung up its BMW - no better, no worse than other similar engines.

I would not have another 2.5TD Auto - not a great combo for economy, I used to get about 28mpg.  32mpg once chipped.

Pound for pound, you can get close to that with a LPG'd V6 and have much more fun ::) ;)

I used to get nearly 40mpg from my chipped Manual wheesel and I recon it would have given a 2.5V6 a good run for its money as well ;)

diesel parts are expensive (and also labour if you cant) and there are more parts that can go wrong..
so the predicted budget can quickly become short..

An lpg would be a problem as i need the boot space for tools also i have a bad left shoulder and when doing town and city driving i get into discomfort with changing gear, i have a 2.2 dti now and am more than happy but do need an auto so i was looking at the above car as a good change or one similar, saying that its a bloody long way from where i live so may just hang fire and wait for one closer which i can look at in more detail
thanks for the input guys
