Hi everyone,
just purchased my second Omega. The first was a 2.6 cdx saloon old shape (97) that probably would have killed me if it hadn't died first. It was so quite and smooth, very easy to be driving to fast without noticing it. My latest venture is a 2.2 cdx estate new shape(01). No service history with this one but was going cheap and i wanted something to replace a my old 4x4's load space. I would comment on how it drives but it appears to have been taken over by a wife and two dogs who all seem very happy with it. :) so it can't be all bad.
Looking to give it a good sevice and change the timing belt and water pump to be on the safe side. I was surprised that the pump I purchased comes with plastic water vanes is this normal now? Anyway I will post the topic properly and I'm sure I will come across some of you out ther in the forum.

Hello and welcome
Yes my water pump had plastic veins too...would have preferred metal but then again nothing should be in the system to damage the water pump - ideally that is!
